An intimate Urban Wedding in dowtown Calgary set in the beauty of a fading summer and the hint of Autumn on the horizon. Chrissy and Donnie chose to have their intimate ceremony, during a tumultous time, in the back yard of a property of Unique BnBs Calgary, along the bank of the Elbow River in Mission Calgary, with the bows of big trees hanging overhead and their closest friends and family in attendance! After that we headed out to the graffiti walls of the East Village and then finished off with portraits on Prince’s Island Park. As we were walking back to the limo to head to their dinner, a talented busker was playing “My Heart Will Go On” on violin and Donnie swept his bride into a first dance; with all the Covid restrictions this year wedding receptions have been non-existent and along with that goes the first dance; Chrissy was pretty thrilled that it worked out they could have one and it was so beautiful in the kismet way that it played out!
This year has brought me a few intimate wedding, due to the restrictions, and honestly I am in love with these smaller weddings that really focus on the love and connection! <3
Also, if you can have a limo and can include your photographer in it, DO IT!! You can get some great candid shots with your bridal crew and it’s fun!
Congrats Chrissy and Donnie…I am counting down to when you give those two beautiful daughters of Donnie’s a little sister or brother!!! *hint hint*
